Landmarks light the world in teal for Alzheimer's awareness
On November 3, more than 800 landmarks were illuminated with teal lights to raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease. the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA) states that more than 6.2 million Americans live with Alzheimer's disease, which is expected to double by 2060. Cities across the globe lit their skylines with teal to shine a spotlight on the condition and show support for the millions of people affected by it. Here in Seattle sever landmarks participated in the annual event. These landmarks include the Columbia Tower, Seattle Great Wheel, and the Lumen Field.
